Several customers have reported problems after installing Microsoft Office update 16.0.12730.20236. Problems include not working Outlook Search especially if using Microsoft Exchange 2016.
Some customers have also reported problems with Windows 10 slowing down. Right clicking of the taskbar or opening taskbar notification area dropup responds really slow.
How to solve?
Downgrade Office back to working version.
This can be done by running the following command from the elevated Command Prompt or simply by opening Run dialog with Win+R key combination and entering:
“%programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe” /update user updatetoversion=16.0.12624.20320
You may also downgrade to other version. Please see list on Microsoft website.
